Celebrating 100 Years of Dodge Vehicles at Interstate Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM

It’s an exciting time here at Interstate Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM!  July 1, 2014 not only marked the start of a new month but also a major anniversary for Dodge vehicles. On July 1, 1914, exactly 100 years ago, the Dodge brand was founded by Horace E. and John F. Dodge. It’s hard to believe that the makings of the vehicles behind the Dodge cars our West Monroe customers know and love came about 100 years ago. A lot has changed since then, like body styles, materials, technology and power. However, some things have also stayed the same, like the commitment Dodge brand has to its customers and quality.

In order to celebrate this milestone occasion, 26 iconic Dodge vehicles of the past were paraded out in Rochester Hills, Michigan. The oldest vehicles included the 1915 Dodge Brothers Touring, which was one of the very first Dodge vehicles ever produced. There were also examples of the beloved muscle cars of the 60’s and 70’s with their booming V8 engines. Celebrating the 80’s and 90’s were the 1984 Dodge Caravan, 1986 Dodge Omni and 1993 Dodge Intrepid.

The event was held at Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester Hills for a very specific reason. Tim Kuniskis, CEP of Dodge Brand, explained: “It was important for us to bring you here, it was important for us to be on this property, because this is the story of the 100th anniversary. This is the story of Dodge, right here — this land.”

Here at Interstate Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, your friendly West Monroe Dodge dealers, we too are celebration the 100th anniversary. We’re doing that by sharing our extensive line up of new and pre-owned Dodge vehicles with you! So stop in and test drive one today!
